- The History of Smiley Crew Productions -
- I'm a Junior in High School. I got a camera and Avid Videoshop on an old computer. Dusty Gaebel, Ben McKenna and I make Rex Miller. The name "Smiley Crew" is born.
- In early 2000, I get Final Cut Pro 1.0 and re-edit Rex Miller from the old analog footage. I also get a Digital camera as opposed to the old one. I meet Firewire. I get ambition. Dusty Gaebel, Ben McKenna, Chezare Autrey and I make Rex Miller 2: He Is The One. It's pretty awesome. We also enter the history day competition (Anthony Martinez, Dusty Gaebel, Luis Martinez, Matt Taverner, and I) with Action Jackson News 22. Upon graduation from high school, new characters are born. Max Marple and Luis Martinez create Animal Fury: a parody of Crocodile Hunter. Gabe Wilson creates Boozer The Clown. I create Mr. Unstoppable for an anti-MTV storyline (along with Sir Gilead and Mind Job). Chezare Autrey and I animate a Renegades cartoon using whiteboards and a scanner. It's pretty awesome, but better cartoons would come years later. We film a lot of other stuff like other episodes of Action Jackson News 22.

- We go on T.V. Cable Access comes to SLO county and we get on it. We make "The New Show" and "The New Show 2", 8 episodes of sketch comedy. Action Jackson News 22, Animal Fury, The Boozer The Clown Show and Renegades all find their way on T.V., as well as old shows The Duss and Tony Show, and Police Beat.
- Prime Time Crew airs. Logan Mitchell joins The SCP. Chezare Autrey gives birth to Mr. Smiley under the table of Prime Time Crew. We did NOT clean up the mess. New episodes of The Boozer The Clown Show and Animal Fury are created. I realize that my audience isn't very smart and can't follow the crazy plots I come up with for Luis and Max to do on the show. Oh well. The phrase "Chaos City" is created and I make two episodes of that show. Mr. Smiley's character develops. CJ Goodwin joins up during filming of Action Jackson News.

Mr. Smiley
- The Risk Taker is made. CJ Goodwin stars and kicks butt. Adam Vickers co-stars and Logan Mitchell actually composed all of the music on a Casio Keyboard (this is before Garageband, mind you). The movie is still one of my favorite creations. We shot and edited the whole thing in 24-hours. Mr. Smiley's popularity grows! We're still on T.V. on Smiley Crew's Last Stand and Smiley Crew's Sideshow (with newbie Josh Archuleta hosting both). New skits like Disheveled air. Ryan Hancock's epic arrival forces me to change The Boozer The Clown Show to The Boozer and Stubs Show. We also make the first episode of Hitmen and Brick and Grudge are created, but we won't make another one until much later. A revised version of my old Renegades script is written. Dr. Moorhead's character is created, but he won't show up in a cartoon for a few years.

- I go away to college (Monterey). I get an HD camera, yet I don't really use it right away because I start making Adventures In Chaos City, cartoons, and create all sorts of new characters: Johnny Thunderpants, Dr. Kockpocalipse, Hollywood Havoc, Gorpee, and Dennis Franco. I meet Joey Milano and Kiwi Simpson who help out at my new home away from home. I also make The W.S.D.B.A. with Josh Archuleta, Logan Mitchell, Nick Bishop, and Adam Vickers. It appears on The Best Damn Sports Show Period. Cool.

- I graduate from college and have a new weapon to use: Flash. Lab Of Ingeniocity is created. I am eager to make cartoons and video games for the first time. Adventures In Chaos City goes live for the first time and actually gets a lot of players. Neato! We're no longer on T.V. in SLO County. Boo.
- I spend a lot of time making more of Adventures In Chaos City. Hitmen return in a big way and Brick and Grudge explode onto the scene. Something else happened, but I must have forgot.
- I go crazy. I make over 50 videos this year. New episodes of Lab of Ingeniocity, Hitmen, The Boozer and Stubs Show, Hitmen, Johnny Thunderpants: History Tutor, and Living With Smiley all are made during this year. America's Next Top Sandwich is also made and The Meatball Sub is born. The first incarnation of Happy Wacky Tallow Farm is produced to be a part of The Boozer and Stubs Show. This is the peak of production (so far).
- I move to Palo Alto and start making Homicidal Puppets. I entertain the idea of converting my Renegades script to a novel. Max Marple returns to make new episodes of Animal Fury after a many-year hiatus. They are awesome. We make five episodes in one day. Also, new episodes of The Boozer and Stubs Show are made.
- I move back to SLO and get a job at NBC (KSBY) making commercials. Dr. Moorhead and Johnny Thunderpants sneak their way into a few commercials. Homicidal Puppets is morphed in to Anarchy Island. More episodes of Animal Fury and The Boozer and Stubs Show are made. Hambert is born.

- The Meatball Sub returns, but I can't come up with a show for him. I get nominated for an Emmy. It's not related to Smiley Crew Productions at all, but it's still a pretty sweet deal. I fiddle around with other ideas, such as finally writing that damn novel.
- I get the idea for The Viking Bunnies, but have no idea what to do with them. I make an Anarchy Island cartoon, but it takes too long and I don't feel like it is a good use of my time to make another. By the end of the year, I will have moved BACK to Silicon Valley to take a video editing/animation job.

- I decide that The Viking Bunnies will be for younger kids and not my normal brand of humor. New Happy Wacky Tallow Farm episodes are made. Two Viking Bunny Apps are made, but the people demand tangible books. I will have them (and an agent) by the end of the year. Work continues on Anarchy Island (the game and the cartoons) and The Fury Saga: The Renegades (the novel).
- I finish The Fury Saga: The Renegades. It is released on June 1st. I move BACK to SLO, then to Solana Beach (Woot!). The Viking Bunnies get a make over. They get three new books in their new style. The idea for Robot Gardens is finally executed and developed (but will have to wait until later for its true release). More episodes of Anarchy Island Shots are made. I come up with some basic ideas for Dirk McClintock: Executive Pirate, Super Smart Land, and Ryan and I make some Migginnty Jones commercials.

- Video and Cartoon production come to a hault as I find a new avenue to dive into: Apps. Between March and October, I make over a dozen iPhone/iPad Apps. The Viking Bunnies take a trip to the San Diego Kids Expo and Faire to earn some more fans, and a new book is released in October. Super Fit Land is created. Work begins on Cannibal! The Musical: The Game.

- Smaller Apps take a back seat for bigger Apps Cannibal! The Musical: The Game and Viking Bunnies. Both are released late in the year. Smaller Apps like Kitten Juggling and Brick Doubt show up later. Viking Bunnies take center stage more than ever. New stuff like Dave The Yeti and Knight Man go into development for 2016.
